This year the Flewellin Memorial Library will be participating in The Big Read, a national program that offers grants to support organizations in developing community-wide programs which encourage reading and participation by diverse audiences. We’d like to invite members of our community to join us in reading the book In the Time of Butterflies by Julia Alvarez. The library will host a book discussion and showing of the film starring Salma Hayek. If you are interested in participating with us, give us a call at 815-824-2079, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop in. Those who participate will receive a free copy of the book. Please let us know by March 1st if you’d like to participate. The film showing and book discussion will be scheduled in March pending the amount of interest shown.
